Re-starting

Well, i was going to get started on this as a new year resolution, but failed misserably - as i did with many other new years resolutions.

anyway, here i am now ... better late than never hey?

Well, since i last posted, i have finished one project (got a third for it as i hated it and really did no work at all) which is irresponsible ... ooops! and have irrisponsibly neglected another project. but now i'm on it - i'm determined to better myself1 (sounds gay but its true) and as a way to keep track of myself i am going to make sure i post at least once a week!

Now ... my new project... i like this one!

"investigating the theme of repetition using hand-making techniques"
yummy!

what i was going to do was make a necklace of ceramic and wore mesh flower shapes. then i spoke to my tutor and apparently, i dont have to have a solid outcome for next weeks deadline! as the unit continues on till about may time so i can carry on with this investigation into the next project and come out with a more developed and more thoroughly investigated outcome.... so i'm taking my time and looking into different processes and materials, primarily different papers and fabrics and using different processes and treatments on them. as well as extending the idea of a necklace - like how a plant grows so could my final piece seem as if it its growing over you as you wear it? i do deffinately want it to be a wearable piece - even if it isnt a practical-wearable piece.

I am enjoying this more as my tutor for it is more craft - orientated like i am rather than the lady i had for my last project who wanted everything to look more manufactured (i dont like that).

I feel more free doing a more craft-based project. it makes me happy.

so :-) with my new - found enthusiasm, i am going to do plenty of experimenting for my presentation next week :-)

happy happy happy :-)

xx
